Additional information
If someone different is picking up your child you must notify the kindergarten. Also write it in the blue diary located on the sign-in table underneath the children’s pockets. In an emergency please call us and let us know who is picking up your child.
We will communicate with you via your child’s pocket. We will put newsletters, receipts, and notes in the ‘pocket’. We regularly write newsletters informing parents of important dates, curriculum news and other things happening in and around the kindergarten.
Health and medicine
Health checks are held at various times of the year and you will be advised when your child is eligible via newsletter/letter. If you have concerns about your child’s development, please let us know as we may be able to make referrals to services such as speech pathologists or disability coordinators.
If your child requires medication please give it to us and don’t leave it in your child’s bag. It needs to be in its original bottle with your child’s name on it.
Literacy kits and parent library
We have a range of books and props to promote children’s literacy skills that families can borrow. They are usually at the kindy entrance with a folder for parents to sign when they borrow. We also have a parent library with books available for borrowing.
Bush kindy
Bush kindy is held regularly on a Thursday morning at the Anstey Hill Recreation Park. We use this time to promote learning and connections with nature.
Playgroup
Playgroup is for children birth to 5 years old and offers a chance for children and parents to meet other families. It is held at the kindergarten so children have access to a large variety of facilities and equipment. There are indoor and outdoor activities and an area for babies. We are Playgroup Association affiliated.
Times
Friday, 9.00am to 11.30am.
Cost
This program costs $15 per term or $20 for more than 1 child.
