What to bring

Children need to bring these items each day:

  • bag
  • hat
  • change of clothes
  • drink bottle containing water
  • fruit or other healthy snacks
  • packed lunch.

Please write your child’s name on all their belongings.

Dress your child in clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, as preschool can get messy with activities using paint and mud. We have found that washing clothes in cold water is better for removing paint stains. Clothing must be sun smart (PDF 110KB) and cover shoulders. Your child's shoes should be suitable for running and climbing (no flip-flops, thongs or crocs).

We have kindy t-shirts and jumpers available to buy if you would like one for your child.

What not to bring

Children should not bring these things:

  • food containing nuts (some children have nut allergies that can be dangerous)
  • unhealthy food or drink (lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks)
  • toys from home.

Bus service

If you live outside of Booleroo Centre, your child may be able to catch the bus to kindy if seats are available. Please contact us for more information.

Additional information

To develop independence, we encourage your child to carry and unpack their bag when starting their day at kindy.

Please read our drop-off and pick-up procedure (PDF 131KB).

Rural care

Rural care is a childcare service that runs alongside our kindy program. We provide long day care and before and after school care for children from birth to 12 years old. We also incorporate Melrose Rural Care.

Talk to us about availability for your child.

Times

8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, including school holidays.

Cost

$78 per day. This may cost less if you are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy.

Invoices need to be paid weekly, directly to Rural Care (Adelaide office) using BPay. Talk to us about fees and the subsidy.
