We offer a number of programs and services to support your child’s early years learning.
Your child can attend preschool for up to 15 hours per week. In even weeks we have separate groups but in odd weeks eligible children can access an extra day with the other group.

What to bring
Children need to bring these items each day:
- change of clothes
- library bag
- drink bottle containing water
- 2 pieces of fruit or vegetables
- healthy packed lunch.
Please write your child’s name on all their belongings.
Please use an insulated container and an ice brick or frozen water bottle to keep lunches cool. Place lunch boxes in the lunch trolley when you arrive.
What not to bring
Children should not bring these things:
- unhealthy food or drink (lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks)
- toys from home.
Currently we have no children with nut or egg allergies so we don't exclude these foods.
School library visits
If a child has books read to them each day they are more likely to develop strong literacy skills. We invite and encourage children to borrow books regularly from the Hackham East Primary School library during our weekly visits. Children will need a named library bag.
Each year a photographer visits the kindergarten to take individual and group photos. Photo packages will be available to purchase and extra photos may be re-ordered for family and friends.
Health and support services
Dental, health and support services are available locally and we provide support services on site. Please speak to us about additional services.
Please let us know if your child is unwell and can't attend kindergarten.
Please read our drop-off and pick-up procedure (PDF 56KB).
We are considering running a playgroup on Friday mornings in term 4, but currently there are playgroups available nearby at Hackham Family Centre which are operated by Junction Australia. Details about the program will be provided to families each term.
