What to bring

Children need to bring these items each day:

  • bag
  • hat
  • change of clothes
  • drink bottle of water
  • 2 containers with healthy morning and afternoon snack (eg fruit, vegetables, crackers, cheese)
  • 1 container with lunch (eg sandwiches, wraps, rice, noodles, meats, pasta)
  • cool pack on hot days.

Please write your child’s name on everything they bring.

We are a multicultural kindy and encourage families to provide lunches from their culture.

What not to bring

Children should not bring these items:

  • food containing nuts (some children have nut allergies that can be dangerous)
  • unhealthy food or drink (lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks)
  • toys from home.

Occasional care

Occasional care is for children under school age who aren’t in any other early childhood education and care programs, such as preschool, child care or family day care. It promotes young children’s development by giving them access to high-quality early childhood education.

It may help parents to take part in a range of activities including non-work and casual work commitments.

Evidence of your child's immunisation status must be provided to the Centre upon enrolment. (No Jab, No Play)

Priority of access

The education department has a priority of access policy to decide who can get into occasional care. This might mean that some families get more sessions than others.

Talk to us about enrolling in occasional care.

Times

The program offers care on a sessional basis, generally up to 3 hours.  Children generally can attend to 1 session a week, however this may change  at any time to 1 session a fortnight  to accommodate additional families should the demand for Occasional Care increase.
