We offer a number of programs and services to support your child’s early years learning.
Preschool Program
Times
Your child can attend preschool for up to 15 hours per week.
Children can come for 4 days over 2 weeks. Parents will be informed of one additional full-day (8:30am-3:30pm) each day.

Fees
Our parent contribution is $200 in term 1 and $200 in term 2 ($400 total). Parents are welcome to negotiate instalments with the director.
What to bring
Children need to bring these items each day:
- bag
- hat
- drink bottle containing water
- 2 pieces of fruit or other healthy snacks
- packed lunch.
Please write your child’s name on all their belongings.
What not to bring
Children should not bring these things:
- food containing nuts - some children have nut allergies that can be dangerous
- unhealthy food or drink - lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks
- toys from home.
Additional information
Through play-based learning we focus on the development of your child’s literacy and numeracy skills along with their social skills.
The children learn the Kaurna language through visits from Uncle Tamaru, Kaurna Elder.
Children with additional needs are well supported by our skilled staff.
Pre-entry visits
Pre-entry come and play sessions are available to your child one term before they begin preschool.
Times
Families are encouraged to contact the preschool about upcoming come and play sessions including dates and times.
Cost
This program is free of charge.
What to bring

- hat (provided at your child’s first session)

Additional information
Come and play sessions support your child to transition into preschool. Your child will become familiar with the environment, our staff and some of our routines.
You are welcome to stay with your child until they are settled.
If you are unable to attend any sessions please talk with us. It may be possible to arrange other times.
Early entry
If your child is Aboriginal or under the guardianship of the minister they are eligible to start preschool after they turn 3.
If your child has additional needs or disability, they may be able to access preschool up to 2 terms earlier if the preschool has places available. This is known as early entry.
Times
Times will be decided between you, us and a special educator.
Cost
The cost of this program will be scaled in proportion to preschool program hours.

Playgroup
Children aged 0-5 may attend with parent and or carers.
Play happens both indoors and outdoors.
There is a story and song time.
The care of chickens along with collecting eggs is a morning routine.
Children are supervised by their parents while exploring the outdoor spacious garden and invited to join with Nature play activities.

Friday's 9AM - 11AM

Additional information
If they want to, your child can join our mid-morning story, song time and other kindy routines.
Out of school hours care (OSHC)
Coorara Preschool staff support working parents with their arrangements to access the Coorara Primary School OSHC program.
Coorara Primary School also offers a holiday Program.
