We offer a number of programs and services to support your child’s early years learning.

Preschool program

Times

Your child can attend preschool for up to 15 hours per week.

*We offer a speech and language program at our Tuesday and Thursday Kurraka sessions. See the support available for children with disability page on the education department's website.

Fees

The parent contribution is $165 per term. See our enrolment and fees page for more information.

What to bring

Your child needs to bring these items each day:

• backpack with 2 shoulder straps
• broad-brimmed, legionnaire or sun-safe hat (without chin straps) – terms 1 and 4
• change of clothes
• drink bottle containing water
• healthy snack
• packed lunch.

Please write your child’s name on all their belongings.

You can also buy our Flagstaff Oval kindy t-shirts and windcheaters. 

What not to bring

Children should not bring these things:

• food containing nuts (some children have nut allergies that can be dangerous)
• unhealthy food or drink (lollies, chocolate, chips, fizzy drinks)
• toys from home.

Transition to kindergarten

We offer a transition program before children start kindy. Your child will enjoy fun activities and learn about kindy life in a safe environment.

Times

Fridays 12 noon to 1.30pm for 8 weeks in term 4.

Cost

$50 paid in week 1 of term 4.

Additional information

Our transition program runs at the same time as our term 4 playgroup.

Playgroup

Our staff-run playgroup runs once per week for children under 5 and their parents or caregivers. You and your child will meet other children and families before starting at kindy.

Times

Fridays 12 noon until 1.30pm, week 1 to 9 each term.

Cost

$45 per family each term.

Additional information

Our term 4 playgroup runs at the same time as our kindy transition program.

Emergency care

We offer occasional emergency care. You will need to contact us to confirm our capacity.

Cost

$8 per session - paid on the day.
