Enrolling your child

Families can register their interest to enrol children by using the preschool registration of interest form (PDF 200KB). This form is also available in hardcopy at the preschool.

Please register your interest by 30 June, you can also do this at any time during the year.

Priority will be given to children living in our catchment area. If you don’t live in our catchment area you should indicate at least 2 other preschool options on your form.

First round offer letters will be sent in term 3. You can accept the offer by filling in and sending back the acceptance slip by the due date.

Before your child starts

Families will be contacted in October to attend orientation sessions.

Eligibility for preschool

Children are entitled to access 4 terms (1 year) of government preschool in the year before they start school.

Mid-year intake

From 2023 children who turn 4 years old:

• before 1 May are eligible to start preschool at the beginning of the year.
• on 1 May to 31 October can commence preschool through the mid-year intake at the start of term 3 of that year
• after 31 October will be eligible to commence preschool at the start of the following year.

Regardless of whether your child starts at the beginning of the year, or through a mid-year intake they will undertake 4 terms of preschool.

Fees

We ask you to contribute towards the cost of your child attending preschool.

The parent contribution is $480 per year. You can choose to pay the total amount at the beginning of the year or to pay instalments of $120 each term.

When to pay

We will invoice you each term and it will be sent via email.

Payments are due by week 6.

Please contact the Director if you are having difficulty paying.

How to pay

The preffered method of payment is by direct deposit.

Cash

You can pay by cash at the preschool. If you are paying by cash or cheque, please put the payment in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on the front. Put the envelope in the payments box next to the office.
